THE QUEEN THEATER
The Queen Theater in Wilmington, Delaware was built in 1915. Its large auditorium and balcony provided a seating capacity of 2,000. A population shift in the area caused profits to drop and led to the theater closing in 1959. The theater has been deteriorating since but a non-profit group the "Light Up The Queen Foundation" plans to re-open the Queen as a music venue.
