For three generations the Lebows carried on the family business as clothiers. The Baltimore factory produced and sold a wide range of clothing consisting mostly of coats and suits that could be found in luxery stores like Saks and Neiman Marcus. After being closed over 2 decades the racks are still filed with coats and hundreds of sewimg machines line the factory floor. Five years ago the building’s New York based owner announced plans to move his marble cutting & polishing business into the empty building but those plans never materialized. Current legal battles between the city and the owner leave the future of this building in question.
