    Default Susquehanna School

Took a trip to this school on the Susquehanna river. Buildings are slowly falling apart, partly weather, partly scrappers. The buildings don't have any graffiti, but the rooms are all beat up from the thieves looking for their precious copper and metals. It's a very nice area to be in though, great view from there. Spent almost half the day in just one building, will definitely have to go back to see the rest of this place.

Yes it was, just the other weekend. Very big place to explore, spent half the day in just the one building.

I Love the School! It has really been beaten down though, at least since the last time I was there. It was looking really good too...don't know what happened.

Yea, it really sucks. I think they had professional scrappers in there, place is torn apart and reinforcements built to get to some spots on the upper floors of some buildings.

Oh yes I know, As a teenager I spent many days behind those fences, I still can spend a whole day riding around out there.
I have ran a few scrapers out of there.

Did you get a chance to walk over to the navy base side?

I did not get a chance to walk up there, I will definitely be making another trip to this place though. I'd like to really see the whole Navy side too.

My wife recalls visiting her uncle there in the 50's while he was in the Navy. She remembers a very old house with what she was a jail with bars in the basement. She also remember splaying in the back yard where there was a manicured garden with rows of hedges. We poked around about 15 years ago but could never find it.
