Well that depends. What are your reccomendations for the Richmond area? What are "these abandonments that surround it?" I've only done a prison in VA, which was fantastical, I must say...

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

apartment buildings, houses, big/small businesses, factories, a theater. that's just on top of my head...everytime i go walking/driving around here i find new stuffs...the place in particular i was referring to was a factory i believe.

i'd be up for doing the prison. i'm not familiar with it.

A theatre? That sounds fun. I'll have to 'google' some things in VA a little later. As for the prison, it was one of the hardest places me & my crew have ever gotten into. 15-20 foot fence, cut at the top to give a barb effect, that was the first step to getting in. Not to mention the majority of the buildings are sealed up like crazy. Upon leaving we saw security both times. Had to tuck and roll down a briar patch covered hill, but if you can get in... it's a sight to see. One of my favorites yet...

You see.... I typically go to places at night, and when I arrived both times to said prison, security was sitting at the 'front gate.' Therefore, we were forced to find another way, and since my crew enjoys a challenge... we found another way. These were photos from inside the church before our camera broke.

daytime = better light for photos and less security.
