A strange thing happens when one becomes a homeowner. One becomes very protective of his yard. Here I am taking care of business with my old 8mm Mauser. I would normally used my trusty 45-70 but I did not want to put a divot in the grass.

Good eye, I also have an original 98K but I don't get it out much as it is in very good shape and I want it to stay that way.

Mine is a mixed parts beater that I use for WWII reenacting. It shoots fine, just the blueing is going and the parts and mixed, etc.

The Mauser 98k was probably the best military bolt action rifle ever put into service.

My new $1,800 10-gauge turkey slayer. She is a Remington SP-10 turkey edition. She will part a possum like Moses parted the red sea.

I only see a 2 position selector on that M4.
    Why's it stamped restricted?
