I gotta say, I kind of trailed off after the "20year" sxn with the Prypiat... But it's tivo'd for the h-unit to watch. Mebbe then he'll finally get it. Nothing like Ph.D's drooling over an abandoned city to get my point across.

Nah, they just kept saying "after we left". I agree, you would think in this day and age they would use some up to date graphics for the modeling.

No, no intro to how we disappeared. It kind of pretty much meant that if 100% of the population disappeared all at once. I thought it was an intereting show... hard to believe we'ld be completely eradicated in 10,000 years. Then again, we see those signs in the places we visit so I guess it's not much of stretch.

so yeah, i watched "the lobotomist" first (it was on 9-10) which ROCKED then caught the second half of "life after people" and was disappointed.

i think everyone who explores asylums should watch "the lobotomist".

The graphics were pretty lame...also at least edit the moving cars out of the frames of the 'dead' cities...must have been Big Willie and his dog tearing up the streets.

I was kind of unimpressed with what I saw of Life After People.

DITTO. I think some of those theories they presented were rediculous and unrealistic. Like lions escaping from their enclosures from zoos and breeding to make a steady population in North America. PSH.

I also didn't like how EVERYONE disappeared at once, and the Earth is left untouched. The only way we'd all disappear at once is with a nasty blow right in the side from another planet, or if the sun blew up. Or something... and that would affect the earth and plants and animals too, not just humans. I don't know. I was disappointed. It was interesting though.

Just watched it last night on the DVR. Not bad, kinda repetitive, I don't think that they needed to show the same buildings and intersection collapsing over and over, especially since the graphics were rather weak. I think that they were jumping the gun on the aging as well. If I remember correct, I think they said that roads and pavement areas would be almost gone after less than 2 years. Well, then how come the pavement at Henry is still there. I think that they definitely went a little quickly with the aging.

Though I did find it pretty interesting that Vegas would be the last place with power, and that the Hover Dam would last that long.

I give it 3 out 5 stars. I would have enjoyed it more if dumb ass Comcast would add the History channel to the HD line-up. Stupid bastards.
