Dan, I think you need a second cam on these model shoots. Don't worry, I'll have plenty of time to assist once the wife finds out where I'll be and what I'll be doing. LOL

All kidding aside those a re some fantastic shots. Please keep them coming.

I do need video of the shoots!

Seriously tho... I really do need a good assistant. Someone who is very out going and not affraid to speak whats on their mind. Someone to help with posing the girls and suggesting ideas.

Dam! I'm pretty quiet, if you haven't guessed already, and don't have any experience with models so that would probably hamper you more than help. I think once I get comfortable with the gear and the gals that could change. I've been trying to convince the wife to let me get into this type of photography, however she's been reluctant as she think I'll "compromise" the photographer/model relationship. To make matters worse, shes a hot passionate latina. LOL

If your willing to work with a nOOB, I'll be willing to give it a shot.

Just out of curiousity(sp?), for your waterfall shots did you use a reflector? I noticed the light seems to quite uniform across the model's body.

I don't want to be your assistant, but I will make some suggestions.

Get a 50mm f/1.8 prime. They're only $100 and you wont regret it.

I would suggest getting an Alien Bees umbrella flash setup, but they cost mucho dinero.... instead, make the most of your Canon flash with a Lightsphere II, they are simply amazing diffusers and are about $50.

Comparisons and example shots, plus the site to buy it from:

    Keep pumping out the shots!

I used my flash set to -1 1/3 power. The weakened flash keeps the sunlight as the primary light source, just fills in shadows.

    .
Just goes to show what I know. LOL Very nice. I'll also second the 50mm f/1.8. It does have a tendancie to wander, but I was told if you put a laser pointer in your palm (if your handholding the camera) the laser would help the lens focus. It doesn't happen all the time, but just enough to be a pain. Also the build makes me wonder what Canon was thinking but for less than $100, I shouldn't complain.
